The company was created in 1921 when Jean Barbé began beekeeping. His Buckwheat honey with its distinctive taste was popular for making the honeywine « le Chamillard ».
In 1948, his son Paul adds cider to the production to diversify the business. He will name it « Le P’tit Fausset », from the name of the dowel placed on the front of the barrel and that is removed to taste good cider.
In 1989, Gilles succeeds to his father and adds apple juice « le Pépin Sonnant » and cider vinegar to the range, while beginning the conversion to organic production.
The apples come from the 4Ha family orchard and from orchards in the area of Merdrignac. Collected from local producers, the traditional varieties of apples give its particular character to the cider.
The development of these products has always been done in the respect for tradition, quality and production environment.
This quality has been rewarded with numerous medals at the Concours Agricole of Paris as well as in many regional competitions.
